Raising Awareness Through a Film

Visible is only the face of a young girl with an appellative facial expression. The citizenship law of many Arabic countries brings huge disadvantages for thousands of children from bi-national parents who do not live in the country of origin of their father. The law does not foresee the possibility of mothers passing their citizenship to their children. Foreigners in their home country, these children have only limited access to education and social welfare. A short film „My Child the Foreigner“ produced with support of GIZ broaches this issue to a broader public and is used for awareness raising and lobbying.
