Expanding Possibilities through Vocational Training

Socially and economically disadvantaged youth, above all girls, are particularly vulnerable to human trafficking. Because of this, young people in Bulgaria from difficult life situations were given six-month training internships in five-star hotels. This gave them completely new job opportunities that offered an alternative to migration. The measure was the result of cooperation between GIZ, the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), and the International Business Leaders Forum.
